Gifted and Talented
The Lewisville Elementary Gifted and Talented (GT) Program provides enriching learning experiences designed to challenge and inspire our students to reach their fullest potential.
Through project-based learning, critical and creative thinking, and inquiry-driven exploration, GT students engage in meaningful lessons that extend beyond the regular curriculum. Our goal is to nurture curiosity, independence, and a love of learning while encouraging students to take cognitive risks and develop a growth mindset.
GT services at Lewisville Elementary include both push-in and pull-out models to support gifted learners across all grade levels:
-
Grades K–2: Students receive push-in enrichment experiences within their classrooms through collaboration between the classroom teacher and GT Facilitator.
-
Grades 3–5: Identified students participate in pull-out sessions each week designed to extend learning through higher-level thinking, problem-solving, and creative projects.
-
Grade 2 (Spring Semester): Students who demonstrate advanced academic potential may begin receiving pull-out services in preparation for continued GT learning in upper grades.
Students explore real-world problems, use technology for innovation, and apply the Depth and Complexity framework to deepen understanding across all subject areas.
We’re proud to foster a community where gifted learners are encouraged to think deeply, question meaningfully, and lead with creativity and compassion.
